SAT/ACT

The SAT exam will undergo major changes in early 2016.

In the past the exam requires one to understand and remember a long list of arcane words. The new SAT aims to make a departure by realigning more with vocabulary often used in a college. The mandatory essay will become optional and the guessing penalty will be deducted.

Scoring will return to the old 1600 point scale based on a top score of 800 in reading and Maths. The essay will also have a separate score.

The SAT has also been known for having a very strict grammar section in multiple choice format that only the most well-prepared will be able to spot errors within.
